  3. Xcode

A Codealike plugin - like that for Visual Studio but for Xcode - please - pretty please even with a cherry on top :) That would be totally awesome.

  4. Edit Solution Name

Allow me to Edit the Solution Name.

I have multiple workspaces for each projects for each version. In current scenario I see the same solution name for all this projects. I would like to manually edit the name and append the version details.

This feature is already in the backlog. The priority is “new feature”. Stability and performance always take precedence against “new feature” but we are certainly investigating how to accomplish that in a way that support both Visual Studio and Eclipse with the many test frameworks out there.

  6. Send Data on the "Edit Team" Window when clicking on "Save Team"

I suggest to read the Data from the Inputs in the "Edit Team" Window when you click on "Save Project". I didn't know that i had to press the return key in order to send the data and then click the "Save Team" button to save it. Would add a little bit of usability there.

  7. Filter by PC (Revisited)

Would like to be able to filter activity by machine as date, team, and solution. I am looking for away to discern variances in efficiency between office and home. I see that this has been posted as complete but so I may have just failed to figure out where or how to utilize the feature?

PS: It's nice to have you guys back. Thanks for the hard work and effort.

  8. Investigate issues with identifying active files in the current solution.

All of my coding sessions show that I am using zero files, and my debugging sessions seem to only log files external to my solution, such as C++ standard library header files. I think this may be an issue handling files which are not in the solution's root directory. All of my files are in <project-root>/src/, instead of just <project-root>/. There are also nested sub-directories in /src/ which could be aggravating the problem.

  10. Anonymous averages for use of managers

If project managers could view the anonymous averages across all developers in a team that would help them to make decisions and individuals would be more to participate fairly and honestly if their results remained anonymous to their team leads.

  11. XLS/CSV Data Exports

I know your planning report exports and printing, but untill then a simple XLS/CSV export file would be nice.

  12. 2 major issues

This is cool don't get me wrong this is an awesome idea! Personally though I don't see why I need to navigate outside of visual studio to see the results. I guess I could just open a browser tab but I think it would be nice to just have a tab that showed results

Hi there! Right now exist a category named “Others”. Can you send us your profile link so we can categorize any technology you’re using but we didn’t named yet?

  14. Use Gmail/Google+

Using gmail would be much more convenient than anything else. Some of my team members have refused to sign up for this because of the privacy concerns with using facebook. I really like the metrics i can see, but the privacy concerns keep coming up.

  17. Create a dashboard page that compares network averages

I'd be interested to see my averages for a project by Lang (for example C#, Razor, and JS) and mode (Coding/Debugging) then compares it to other projects. My projects as well as the Codealike network. I'd be interested in seeing how my development stats compare to other developers on similar projects of comparable size.

  18. Create a page describing the tracked technologies.

For example I've recently done some work on my database, via the IDE recently, but I don't see any metrics related to the sql dev. I guess that comes under other? I'm just wondering what type of development topics are specifically tracked, aside from what I am already of.

I do like the resulting data grid, I'll even share mine, http://codealike.com/facts/8643 but you need to scale it a bit easier for shorter screens. I have to zoom out of the page to see the box titles for the first data block.

  19. Create a page of tips that can improve preformance

When enabled it dramatically impacts performance in either large projects or specific technologies. I'm quite interested in seeing the end results of the data for the project I am working on, so I'll trudge on ahead for now. However, if there is anything I could do to boost the performance/responsiveness, I'd love to know. With the impact as is, I'd be hesitant to track other projects with it.

  20. Tag Time

I should have the ability to start or stop a tag. All activities within that window could be filtered by that tag. The tag itself can span periods currently not tracked by codealike. For instance I could start a new tag called "issue #6516", then I could start an existing tag "reviewing with tester", and I could start another tag "Tammy". When I review I could look at time spent coding total, time spent coding for #6516, time spent debugging with "review with tester", or time spent marked "Tammy". This would allow us to use codealike to track development time…
